Is it possible to remove someone from their green card status by calling immigration?

For instance my nephew got a green card, and is 19 years of age, i filed the papers for him through adoption. But since he got the green card he is not using it for his good, instead of maybe applying for a job he just stays at home and is not using it to his advantage, he hasn't commited any crime though. What if i tell immigration he doesn't need it anymore|||That is not the reason that green card approval is revoked. You can kick your nephew out from your house, since he is 19 years old, he is an adult. Besides, even though you sponsored his green card, the green card that he has it his. You cannot do anything about unless he commits the following examples that could revoke his green card.

1. The alien violates US Espionage laws.

2. The alien engages in criminal activity that endangers public safety or national security, or engages in any activity that is designated to overthrow the US Government by illegal means, such as terrorist activity.

3. The alien commits a criminal offense that involves moral turpitude. 4. The alien is convicted of an aggravated felony such as murder, drug trafficking, firearm trafficking, money laundering, crimes of violence or arson.

5. The alien becomes a public charge, abusing or becomes addicted to drugs, convicted of firearm possession or violates the Selective Service Act.

6. The alien obtained the green card through misrepresentation or visa fraud.

7. The alien who establishes the permanent residency in other country or is absent from US more than 2 years without Re-entry permit.|||Yeah...I don't think you can do that ^-^|||Then you'd be everything I think you are.|||I doubt you can get a green card revoked when the person is law abiding. You can however evict him if he lives with you.|||And you call yourself Mr Niceguy???|||Ya, no. It doesn't work that way.

You need to think of these things, BEFOREEEEE getting them a green card, you can't just take it away and give it back as you please.

You can't call immigration and tell them he is being naughty..

Tell him to get a job or get out of your house.|||you, my friend, are what we call a true patriot. Also a complete di颅颅ck, but the two are far from mutually exclusive.

Sorry though, but I don't know the answer to your question.|||It is not a crime not to use your green card, immigration and customs enforcement will do nothing about it, there is no crime being committed. They will thank him for being legal. I am an ICE agent.|||Not sure....but I think you need to do something pretty serious to lose a Green Card.....like felony or maybe misdemeanor level stuff. That's pretty much guaranteed citizenship.|||I don't think it is problem have and not having green card. Many young people have this problem. Asking him to pay for half of expense or get out. You not responsible for him after 18 years of age.

Maybe he just don't know how to find a job, help him a bit.|||You cannot take away someone's legal resident status just because you feel he's not using it for anything good. As long as he has no criminal record I would say it is virtually impossible.|||You would rat out your own cousin? Shame on you! I ban you from the family!~|||What a lazy guy! Some people would do anything to get a Green Card and hes just wasting his??? Yes, tell immigration he doesn't need it anymore, but maybe you should hint at what you're going to do. Maybe that will make him wise up and put it to use.|||Call 866-630-3604 for help for free on INS all questions you need..
