Why not a VISA or a Mastercard?|||Exactly. The American Express Card has no credit limit but it requires that you make payment in full each month. Why not just use cash if you have it? Well it is designed more for people that buy extravagantly but have money in different accounts. You buy a $500 dinner on your AE card then transfer the money from your savings account to pay it off at the end of the month.|||because they are pickier about who they give credit too.
Alot of people don't have a CREDIT LIMIT.
and most accounts (except for some recent plans) require you to not carry a balance (you have to pay it off in full each month) so it is a RICH peoples card, Stars and etc.
Most of us carry a balance because we live out of our means.|||I used to think the same thing until I got one and I'm not rich by any means. I think they have some nice benefits but they also have an annual fee so I cancelled mine.
