Adjustment of Status to Permanent Green Card?

Can A2 Visa who is in removal proceedings under Section 240 of the Immigration and Nationality Act can apply for adjustment of Status from immigrant to Permanent Green Card?|||probably not ..but you must get a Aila lawyer|||That's a diplomat visa

I highly doubt you can adjuct status to anything at all with that visa, especially in removal procedings.

EDIT: I just checked and you have to have a compelling reason you can't return to your country, and you are a person of good moral character, and granting a green card would be in the national interests of the US

So unless you are freakin james bond or you let loose the plans for a new neutron bomb and the soviets are trying to hunt you down, I don't think you qualify|||You might have opportunities to stay in the U.S. lawfully on a non-immigrant visa, probably not a green card unless you have a relative to sponsor you such as a U.S. Citizen Spouse

Well, you'd need to qualify in some manner that would allow you to apply for green card status, as with an immigrant visa petition,You're not eligible for a green card based on your status here as a diplomatic (A2 visa). Actually, children of diplomats serving in the US normally aren't eligible for citizenship. There isn't any way you could apply for citizenship based on what you've presented here. only through marriage to U.S citizen...

foreign governments' officials here on official business and their dependents, and their staff. Since it is not an immigration class of visa, you are not eligible for immigration or change of status to an immigration-class of visa
