If i had voluntarily given up my green card and wish to reinstate my status would that be possible?

I would like to know if there is a procedure for persons who wish to return to the USA but previously had a green card and given it up. What if there was a good reason for this to be done at the time and being that the situation had changed can he/she reapply for his/her status?|||you can try to get a greencard the same way you got it in the first place. If that is still an option. You cannot "resurrect" a greencard you've given up.|||You can reapply, but you will need to go through the whole process all over again.|||If you return you green card with Forn I-407 ...

you would have to go through the whole procedure again to get it again

It cannot be re-applied for one gone|||if you can show proof of reason for giving it up and can meet all requirements for a green card yes you can. but you will be put at the end of the list and need to wait your turn.
