What happens after one loses his green card holder status?

Hi. I was just wondering about the implications that losing one's green card holder status (the status, not the card per se) can have. Will losing your green card holder status prevent you from entering the US or serve as grounds for immigration officers to deny you entry into the country in your future visits?|||Depends on why you lost it. If you left the US on your own and just decided not to go back, that's one thing. If you lost it because you were convicted of a felony, that's a very different matter. If you did this on your own, you need to surrender your green card at the embassy. Then there will be less ambiguity on your intentions if you apply for a tourist visa in the future. Of course, if you requalify for a new immigrant visa, you could get a new green card in the future.|||that would make them illegal and they would not be allow here or if they got in they would be sent back
